On 7 July 2024, I was @ Mumbai airport, in transit–arrived from Bengaluru by AI642 and awaiting flight to Melbourne AI 310
I tried to get a free WiFi coupon from a kiosk and as it wasn’t working, I sought help from a staff sitting at his desk 5 feet away. He asked me to go to another Kiosk nearby the Good Court. When the coupon from that Kiosk didn’t work, I asked the same young staff member for help. He took my iphone, pressed a few buttons and returned my phone, saying It is working.
Unbeknown to me and without telline me, he TURNED Mobile Data Button on my phone. Unaware of this, I used my phone while waiting for the DELAYED flight for 4 hours. After 2 hours, I got a warning SMS from my Australian Provider that I have USED $ 200 worth of data!!!! All due to the mischievous behaviour of one of your staff at the information counter , turning my Mobile Data button on and NOT TELLING me. This has caused me financial LOSS of A $ 200 plus and as this is a result of misbehaviour by your staff member, I am seeking compensation.
