If an important and official document (such as Passport) is lost, you may inform the Mumbai Police at this link and the relevant Consulate.

Mumbai Airport offers efficient Lost and Found Services.

Passengers who have misplaced their baggage or belongings in any of the terminals at CSMIA do not have to worry. All the agencies at the airport deposit any unclaimed goods under the Lost & found property through the Duty Terminal Manager. The Goods are deposited after duly recording the contents, description, date & time of deposition and the depositors signature.

All unclaimed items are transferred to the warehouse post 24hrs or at 0900hrs next day whichever is earlier and can be reclaimed back by the passenger or by someone who is authorized by the passenger between 0930 – 1730hrs (Except on 2nd & 4th Saturday, Sunday & Public holidays). All perishable items including liquids will be kept in safe custody up to 48 hours / expiry date whichever is earlier and then disposed of under the approval of Duty Terminal Manager.

It may be noted that baggage handling & delivery at CSMIA is the responsibility of airlines from the point of check-in to the point of collection. If anything is left on an aircraft, respective airlines should be contacted immediately.
