I took a self service parking ticket at Mumbai T1 terminal and my folks were eagerly waiting at Z4 platform to jump into the car. However owing to haphazard parked cars and general sluggishness of the queue, I guess I took 9 mins flat to reach the exit gate. The staff was adamant to charge Rs. 150 for the ‘delay from my side’. It is completely ridiculous to have charged passengers for parking who followed the rules to the tee. And if Mumbai traffic remains chaotic as it is, you should reconsider increasing the free period to 10 or 12 mins because that’s the amount of time it takes to complete a simple U turn. I would also request you make a refund of the parking charges that I obliged to pay by not holding up the queue and make poor citizens lined up behind me to pay for ‘delay from their side’.
