we was at Mumbai airport for around 19 hours by the time we took off sunday, our air india flight AI-129 was delayed by 7/8 hours by the time we had taken off, I hAd arrived around 5pm saturday night from Bangkok and by midnight realised my flight was delayed. I went to the help desk to see whether there was anything anybody could do, as in for a place to lay my head down, something to drink, something to eat, for which i waited 2 hours for someone to come back and tell me i can go at 7am, by the time we had gotten into the lounge it was nearly half 8, me and my friend hadn’t slept hardly, was both shattered, hungry and pretty drained by this point. The service we received at the airport was nothing short of derisory, everytime i’d speak to the girl at the help desk as best as she was trying whoever was on the other end didn’t seem interested, when she did manage to get someone to come and see me he just said there wasn’t anything he could do til after 7am, and inbetween that he had walked off for about 20 mins on the phone which i found also really very rude and unprofessional as important as whatever on the end may have been. I will quite gladly say I never come back to Mumbai, or be using Air India, ever again – the service and treatment me and my friend had received was that of how i can only imagine you’d treat a dog.
