Hi, I was at Mumbai airport, Terminal 2 on 18 th Dec, 2022 to board a flight to Delhi at Gate no 43B via Air India scheduled at 1 PM. I reached Gate no 43 at 11:30 AM and at that time departure of travellers for Indigo flight scheduled to depart at 11:40 AM was going on. My complaint is not regarding Air India but its regarding Indigo staff at departure desk. There were two indigo staffs at departure desk out of which the male staff was very rude. Since the female staff was busy on some important call, I moved towards the male staff to just confirm if I was at the correct Gate. Without listening to my question he literally shouted at me and I’ll quote what exactly he said here, ” Ma’am ap 2 minute baithiye ja ke…waha”. Being a traveller, I cannot expect such rude behaviour from an airport staff who are there for customer support. He should have atleast listened to my question and guided me to the correct person for an answer. Being a woman and a lone traveller who needs help, I was deeply hurt by this kind of behaviour of the airport staff. Since I got scared, I didn’t note down his name or was unable to revert. This incident took place between 11:30 AM-12:00 PM at departure desk at Gate no 43 of Mumbai airport, Terminal 2 so you can check the Cctv footage. I am highlighting this incident to you so that proper feedback is given to the staff and he doesn’t misbehave like this with any woman traveller going further. Hoping to get a positive response and an apology from the staff.
