We collected our 01-piece baggage from Dubai International Airport from belt # 7, and as normal we rushed to our residence, to our horror we saw our bag was tampered, actually the zipper of the bag was twisted/was cut with some heavy duty tool ( as the same is not possible with human hands) and from the bag our money zipper pouch was opened, the amount was stolen approximately Aed.10,000- ( UAE Dirhams Ten Thousand).
We immediately rushed back the Dubai Airport and approached Indigo Airlines office and we spoke to Ms. Preeti Govekar, she just gave us the email ID of customer relations and left the office, considering the gravity of the situation, she didn’t take any initiative to contact or to start any internal action & instructed us to complain to Dubai Police who refused to note the same.
This is absolutely horrendous; we want Indigo Airlines to investigate the incident & demand to take action whoever is responsible.
We demand to see the CC TV footage of the baggage hold area of Mumbai Airport.
We understand that passengers put their valuable items in the checked in baggage but that doesn’t mean that the service provider is not responsible.
We demand an investigation & need early answer for the same and NOT to treat the matter as any other numerous cases which has been not been actioned & allow people to travel stress free without any problems after spending so much hard-earned monies.
