- Text of Complaint by Abhishek Datar
My name is Abhishek Datar, I traveled from Mumbai to Munich on the 11th of May 2023 on flight LH767.
I purchased Duty Free cigarettes from the main shop after immigration at Mumbai Airport. I was advised by your staff that the maximum quantity permitted for my destination (Munich) was 400 cigarettes and was sold 2 cartons. Upon arrival in Munich, I was charged with a penalty of 76 Euros as the limit is only 200 cigarettes.
I was falsely advised and pushed into purchasing more cigarettes than I was allowed by your staff.
I wish to be fully reimbursed for the penalty I was charged at Munich Airport and would like to see better customer care by Mumbai Duty Free in the future.
I have attached scanned copies of the receipts from the Duty Free and Munich Customs.
Please review them and get back to me as soon as possible.
