I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding a serious issue I encountered with my baggage during my recent flight with Batik Air. The details of the incident are as follows:

Date of Flight: 07/12/2024
Departure Airport: KUL
Arrival Airport: BOM
Baggage No: OD 042454 – 3816042454.
Upon opening my bag at home (Mumbai), I noticed the following issues:
Baggage Tampering: My bag appeared to have been tampered with. The zipper was fully closed, and there were signs of cuts.
Damaged & Stolen Items: There were cuts in my bag, and items were stolen through it. Most concerning, one or more items were missing from my baggage, including a watch & perfume. These items were securely packed in my bag; the box of perfume is there, but the bottle of perfume was stolen, and I am certain that they were taken during transit. The cuts in the bag are such a way that now it is unusable.
I would appreciate immediate attention to this matter and request the following actions:
A full investigation into the tampering and theft of my baggage.
Compensation for the damaged and stolen items.
A review of your baggage handling procedures to prevent such incidents in the future.
Attached to this are images, including photos of the damaged baggage.
I kindly ask that you acknowledge receipt of this complaint and provide me with an update on the steps being taken to resolve this issue. I trust that Batik Air will address this matter promptly and fairly.
