I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the unprofessional and unfair treatment I experienced at Terminal 2 security check post on 23 Feb 2024 time : 3:30 to 4: 15 pm ( frame) during my recent visit to Mumbai Terminal 2.
Upon reaching the security checkpoint, I encountered a security officer whose behavior was not only rude but also exhibited a lack of consideration and understanding. Despite complying with all regulations and procedures, I was unjustly prohibited from carrying my exercise resistance band through the security check. Additionally, I observed similar treatment towards other passengers, where they were denied carrying essential items like bottles of water. More interestingly, the same was carried to Mumbai from Thiruvanathapuram without any such issues.
It is my understanding that the security protocols are in place to ensure the safety and security of all passengers. However, the actions of the security officer appeared arbitrary and lacked justification. My exercise resistance band is a harmless fitness accessory that poses no threat to aviation security. Similarly, denying passengers access to water, an essential element for health and well-being, seems unreasonable and neglectful of passenger comfort and needs.
I urge the Airport Authority of India to thoroughly investigate this incident and take appropriate action to address the behavior of the security officer involved. It is crucial to ensure that all security personnel are adequately trained to handle situations with professionalism, respect, and adherence to established guidelines.
Furthermore, I request that measures be implemented to prevent similar occurrences in the future, such as providing clear guidelines to security personnel regarding permissible items and conducting regular training sessions on customer service and conflict resolution.
As a frequent traveler, I believe in the importance of constructive feedback to improve the overall experience at the airport. I trust that my concerns will be taken seriously, and prompt action will be taken to address them.
More interestingly , they allow people to carry liquor bottle inside cabin , which is more dangerous if anyone has an evil instinct
