We family of 3 were flying to a vacation after 17 yrs whole joint family taking a vacation. My wife left one carry on bag at security and came running to immigration office for permitting us to get bag from security. She came back within 5 minutes but then immigration checks my boarding pass and says ” arre we forgot to stamp your pass” I said my flights leaving I need to be at gate. They said that’s my look out. Eventually my family gets off loaded due to delay while my old almost 70 year old parents reach maldives airport alone with our 6 bags and had to pay 100s of dollars for help and we also lost our 1000 dollies per day booking plus had to pay 15k flight change charge
Also then immigration people cancel my departure ( stamp) which is ok and also cancel my arrival ( into India) stamp which is super shady but not cancelled departure stamp on my wife and kids passport. I ask them why they say we are immigration we have all records don’t worry. I refused and disputed this error , they took 1 and half hour additional till 6?30 am while my son was sitting on the floor and your staff did not have place for us neither courtesy to offer 2-3 chairs which was occupied by immigration and other flight ground staff ( 2 woman sitting on 1 seat) . It’s like a punishment was passengers to witness such experience where I being an nri have first time witnessed this shocking fact and behavior of poor immigration treatment and no human courtesy for fellow citizens.
Finally no one can ever complain against immigration because youll are government ( that’s what people say) and you gave the power to harass and screw up all our records. However, I’m hopefully you will take this message in good faith not as a hateful message and ensure you put ” feedback” forms openly available for public and restack firms operated by a private party because when I asked one of the immigration officers fo a feedback form, he looked at another officer. That guy pretended to open his drawer and closed it without reverting me back that they didnt gave forms. It looked deliberate as if they dud not want us to share any feedback any complain against immigration department.
Whilst waiting we also realized all ground staff ladies from other airlines begging to immigration officers to let them off their shift while they were laughing and while they were casually signing cheap hindhi movie songs and responding to those ladies ” arre theek hai jao. But sir formally approve ki jiye nah. Arre char logo ke samne BOL diya toh approve hogaya verbally” . That’s FYI. I’ve no business in this and apologize but just want to share.
