The bag which came from the airlines was without a tag.

The bag understandably did not appear on the baggage collection point. Flight number UL 141

However there was not a single person near the belt to enquire to. There were hardly 30 40 passengers in the plane. I was amongst first 5 to get clearance from inmigration.
I waited near the belt for close to 40 mins

While there was not a single person near the belt to enquire to the rest of the staffs from baggage handling agency just kept me going from this direction to other direction. This lasted for 75 minutes. I co operated fully for about an hour but no one were bothered with me facing an issue or help me out. They were just okay by dodging responsibility and pointing me to a vague direction
All this while the person responsible for Sri Lankan airlines was not even present. It was almost the case that no one wants to work there

Once i started to make a bit of ruckus only then someone started to be attentive and help me out. Even then the general tone was find sri lankan airlines guy. They did not know their own colleague handling stuff. Information desk was equally useless. Why do you guys even have that desk! The general attitude of overyone was that i dont want to help you at all

Finally after a lot of shouting i somehow got attention of one staff. He duly helped me with someone from his team to get the bag and I finally got it. I duly thanked both staffs for there co operation although i was frustrated

All this while the guy responsible for flight UL 141 is still not there.

Now another guy out of nowhere pops up ans accuses me of lying saying that someone was there all this time. Plain outright accusing!
Once I got visibly angry he started laughing at my anger and started talking in abusive manner once i asked him to stop laughing in my anger and frustration

To top all of this the person who manages these people (Certain Mr Rakesh) is standing outside customs area. Moment I am out he is saying give me your passport and boarding. The way you talked to staff was wrong. Dont you understand you have to cooperate

So it was my bag. The entire staff of 40 50 baggage handlers kept me tossing all around the airport. But this person who I expected to be of some responsibility who would hear my grievance started to blame for being frustrated. If the person who manages these people is okay with being irresponsible and inefficient what can j expect from his subordinates.

The entire tone of conversation was it was my mistake to be frustrated. I was the one to blame for all this episode. Being irresponsible ignorant and inefficient is like the right of the employees.!

I think I should have just stayed at the airport for 4 5 hours. Just frustrated expecting somehow things to happen magically. Should not have talked to anyone or enquired . That were his expectations. They messed up in a flight which had 30 40 passengers.! Cant imagine what would happen on larger planes. Won’t choose CSIA for sure in that case

He did not even apologized!

A senior of this employee who was at boarding gate arrives at arrival gate quickly to confront and blame me for their mistakes. But still the person responsible for UL 141 has not showed up!

I mean if the expectation is that staff will be shoddy irresponsible utterly unprofessional and those are going to be the norms then well I guess I had better expectations.

If we are going to continue pathetic behaviour and their leader Mr Rakesh wants to lead that way i would seriously ask to look for other agency or at least give a warning to Mr Rakesh
