Subject: Complaint Against Airport Staff for Unprofessional Behavior and Lack of Assistance
To,
The Airport Manager,
Mumbai International Airport,
Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
Date: 3rd April 2025
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the extremely unprofessional and distressing behavior I encountered at Mumbai International Airport today, 3rd April 2025, during my arrival from Oman on flight WY 0203, Oman Air, which arrived this morning at 9:00 AM.
I am a female passenger traveling alone with my three children – a 7-year-old daughter, a 3-year-old son, and a 40-day-old infant. Despite informing the staff about my need for wheelchair assistance at the time of booking, no help was provided at the airport upon arrival.
To make matters worse, when I approached the staff to request assistance, I was met with rude and arrogant behavior. One female staff member, in particular, not only failed to provide the necessary assistance but also argued with me in Marathi, which I did not understand, making the entire situation even more stressful. Her attitude was disrespectful and inhumane, especially considering I was traveling with very young children, including an infant. The staff member seemed completely uninterested in my needs and treated me with utter disregard.
This kind of behavior is unacceptable, especially at a major international airport like Mumbai, where the staff is expected to show professionalism, empathy, and respect toward all passengers. The situation escalated unnecessarily, and I felt humiliated and helpless in front of my children.
I request that immediate action be taken against the staff member involved. Her rude behavior and lack of basic empathy should not be tolerated, and I strongly urge you to investigate this matter thoroughly. I believe that a strict disciplinary action, including suspension, should be considered to prevent such incidents in the future and ensure no other passenger faces such an ordeal.
I trust that the airport authority will treat this matter with the seriousness it deserves and take necessary steps to ensure a respectful and supportive environment for all passengers, especially those traveling with children and in need of special assistance.
I am looking forward to your prompt response and a resolution to this issue.
Thank you for your attention.
Sincerely,
RAHAT SYED
