- Text of Complaint by Mikhail Mokrushin
I, Mikhail Mokrushin, born 19.05.1987, national of Russia, arrived on 28th Mar 2023 with 3L 101 flight by Air Arabia from Abu Dhabi. Upon arrival immigration and customs staff at Mumbai airport first blocked all the passengers in the aircraft, next filtered us and followed through the border formalities, next aggressively examined our bags. I was carrying steel panel samples with me and customs officer unnecessarily scratched three of them with a knife thus damaging the primer layer and destroying my property (photo attached).
1) I consider this whole process as disparaging act against passengers of our flight. It was absolutely ridiculous to see at the same time the banner for G20 summit calling India “a motherland of democracy”.
2) Immigration and customs staff of Mumbai airport unnecessarily wasted mine and other passengers’ time. You should also consider early arrival time 5:30 am and also for me it was a connection so I’ve been on the journey for 15 hours that moment.
3) Customs officer unnecessarily damaged my property (photo attached).
4) This whole situation definitely spoils my impression of India as friendly and comfortable country for new business opportunities.
I hope that you will make good conclusions after my note and this will never happen again.
