Hello,
I had booked Emirates flight from Mumbai to Dubai on 23rd Oct 22 , booking reference L6VPS2 & JLEIT6 and Dubai to paris 31st Oct 22 along with my wife, two kids (including 8 month infant) and my mother.
We had reached Mumbai airport around 3.30 PM on 23rd Oct’22.There were two horrible issues happened with us in the Emirates airlines check in counter and they did not allow us to board the flight.Below are the detailed artifacts.
1) My mother Mrs Bina Mahendra Gotecha have a valid long stay France Visa ( attached visa and passport) starting from 25th Oct 22, so she is eligible for visa on arrival in Dubai for which we got a confirmation e mail also from Dubai immigration ( attached mail trail for your reference) which was shown to Emirates counter in Mumbai airport also but they refused and they did not allow her to board the flight which had resulted in very bad expereince with emirates so she had to leave the airport around 5.30 PM.
2) I ,Dipak Mahendrakumar Gotecha staying in France along with my wife and two kids from last 8 years and we all have valid France long stay residence permit
(attached resident permit and passport copies ) which was shown to Emirates counter in Mumbai airport so we are eligible for visa on arrival in Dubai as per Dubai immigration rule( link for the same mentioned at the bottom of email).
First of all Emirates counter did not recognize residence permit, they took around 45 to 60 minutes to validate our France residence permit and after they said for my self and for my wife it is allowed to board the flight but for kids we will not allow, they need a valid dubai visa.
We had explained to emirates team mutiple times that my kids also have a valid residence permit so they are also eligible for visa on arrival and how come me and my wife is allowed and kids not allowed even we all have a residence permit.
Discussion with emirates counter went on till 10PM IST.
I had also sent email to dubai immigration team, also call with them and had a chat with them on online portal in that also Dubai immigration team had confirmed on phone and chat that “if you have a valid EU residence permit and if your passport is valid for more than 6 months we are eligible for Dubai Visa on Arrival” ( attached chat text for your reference).
I am travelling abroad on a regular basis from last 10 years but had a terrible and worst experience with emirates counter in the mumbai airport with my wife and two small kids that too during festival season.
We had already vacated our house in mumbai as we were planning to travel to dubai to meet and have festival time with my brother and his family and go back to Paris on 31st Oct but unfortunately emirates did not allow us to board even with a valid visa.
Due to emirates negligence and unprofesionalism, we had to suffer a lot with small kids till we return back till 1am in the night
Request you to cancel my booking with emirates and refund me full amount for all 5 passengers by bank transfer not voucher ( for Mumbai to Dubai and Dubai to Paris) plus Rs.20000 on an urgent basis for accomodation, taxi, food and loss of valuable time till late night during festival time with my wife and small kids.
Mr.Tushar duty manager and his team from Emirates mumbai airport are aware about all the above artifacts but continued resistance from them for boarding.
Regards,
Dipak Gotecha
