Respected sir,
I’m writing to you seeking your assistance regarding denial of check-in to my sister Fawziya Sayed Rijak and brother-in-law Arbazkhan Pathan at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, Mumbai due to closure of check-in counters for Air India flight no.AI0931 on 11th December 2022 which was scheduled to depart at 18:05 the same day and denial of assistance as air station authority.
Both the passengers arrived at the airport 20 minutes before the departure time due to heavy traffic jam but were denied entry and any further assistance from staff encharge and stated that they will not provide facilities for merely two passengers and it’s within DGCA rules and regulations that they are entitled to do so, which caused them a loss of 65000 rupee on flight fare and cancelation of their return ticket booked for Umrah (an Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca) excluding 10000 rupee road travel expenses from Gujarat to Mumbai.
The rude behavior of the airport staff, including the supervisor in question and lack of willingness to help a customer made me question humanity.
