Expensive TSA lock stolen and bag zip destroyed

I travelled on 3/3/24 from Bangalore to Singapore at 23:10hrs. One of my bag TSA lock is stolen and bag zip destroyed.
If they wanted they could have checked, why destroy the zip of the bag?
