Hello
My British Airways flight BA0198 on 09 April 2023 scheduled to depart at 13:10 from Mumbai Airport Terminal 2 to London Heathrow was delayed and departed at around 16:50. An Airline member of staff at the airport gave the reason as ‘Technical fault’.
However, upon checking with British Airways later, they have mentioned that “BA0198 on 09 April 2023 was delayed because of air traffic control. The flight was held on stand after doors closed, by ATC.”
Can you please confirm if ATC in Mumbai was responsible for the delay of this flight? If not, please mention the exact reason why this flight was delayed based on any information you would have.
