This happened at Mumbai (counter 12 – 7:45 am- Jan 9 2024)

Mu husband and I missed our flight to Delhi and were directed to this lady by Vistara staff to explore our options for rebooking into the next flight.

Far from even caring that we had been standing at her counter for over 10 mins, she didn’t even look at us. When I enquired a while later if there is an update for us, she snapped at me saying she is busy working and will attend to us only when she finishes her tasks (and talking to her duty officer).

She snapped (not spoke) even more loudly when my husband, who couldn’t hear her clearly due to the general noise around, asked her the same question.

We realized there itself that we didn’t want to deal with this foul-tempered person more than necessary. But that was the counter we were directed to and we had to wait for her engagements to get over.

Predictably, she couldn’t help us further saying that the bookings on the successive flights were full.

While we were leaving the desk, she said quite unsolicitedly and rudely about how we should have known how to plan our trip and reached on time. And how it was not the airline’s problem if we didn’t budget time. While I tried to tell her how we are aware of the rules and the airline policy, she kept talking over me even louder.

Please note that I wasn’t insisting to be accommodated into the flights by any manner. We were aware of our situation and the loss we had incurred. We only wanted to know if there were confirmed seats in the next flight.

However, this Vistara staff member kept glaring at me and vociferating for at least 5 more minutes. She easily went the extra mile to make our day significantly worse.

We even wrote to Vistara but they never responded beyond the automated reply.
