Complaint filed against | IMMIGRATION STAFF MUMBAI AIRPORT |
- Text of Complaint by Once son of India
Dear Mumbai Airport Management,
I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the immigration process we experienced upon arrival at Mumbai Airport on the 16th of December, 2023. As passengers traveling on foreign passports and having traveled in business class, we expected a smooth and efficient entry process. However, to our disappointment, it took an unacceptably long 50 minutes to clear immigration.
It is disheartening to note that such delays can leave a negative impression on visitors to India. Efficient immigration procedures play a crucial role in creating a welcoming and hospitable environment for international travelers. Unfortunately, our experience contradicts this notion and sends a message that India is not prepared to greet visitors with the ease and efficiency expected in modern times.
In an age where technology has made incredible strides, it is perplexing that such delays still occur. I believe there is significant room for improvement in the immigration processes at Mumbai Airport to ensure that visitors have a positive and seamless experience from start to finish. This improvement is essential not only for the satisfaction of travelers but also for the overall reputation of Mumbai Airport and India as a tourist-friendly destination.
I kindly request that you undertake a thorough review of the current immigration procedures for foreign passport holders, especially those traveling in business class. Take into account the utilization of advanced technologies and training programs for immigration officers to enhance the efficiency and speed of the process. By doing so, Mumbai Airport can discourage delays and create an environment that truly reflects the warm and inviting nature of Indian hospitality.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I trust that you will take appropriate action to address our concerns and work towards improving the immigration experience at Mumbai Airport. We look forward to a more efficient and welcoming process for future travelers.
Yours sincerely,

Hello dear,
Why blaming indian officials for delay. I faced worst situation in USA. I landed at washington DC, travelling business class and it took nearly 2 hours for me to clear the immigration. I also noticed that one elderly gentleman fainted due to stress standing in queue.
I can provide my complete details with flight number and date of travel for you to verify. You can also view the long queue and person fainting in cctv at washington Dallas airport.
So have patience when you are clearing immigration and being indian please don’t blame indian system. What i feel is our indian officials are providing the best services and they are very polite to the tourist. Thanks
