International Airport duty free shopping gathering passport & credit card details

Whenever shopping in the international departure lounge, the vendors insist to swipe passport and credit/debit card. When objected to, they insist they cannot complete billing without swiping passport/card. If we have complaint, the shops say it is the rule set by Adani Airports. This is a serious breach of confidentiality and the system is taking the personal information.
