Dear Sir / Madam –
My name is Kanaiyalal N Panchal and I want to tell you about our worst experience which we had on Terminal 2 Check in counter 7 and 8. We were trying to check in to board EMIRATES Flight EK501 bound to San Francisco. We have travelled Emirates few times and never had this kind of unethical experience.
The staff was not willing to check i us in our carry on luggage. We were 3 passengers with 3 carry on bags and 3 laptop bags.
They said to weigh all the carry on bags and complained that we were over weight(above 7 kgs per pessanger). How can someone count the weight of the laptop bag with the carry on bags and be under 7kgs. The bags itself weigh about 3.5 kgs? That was really absurd. We requested them that we will pay for extra luggage which costed about 6000 Rupees .if they let us check-in our bags .They forced us to remove stuff from our carry on luggage and asked us to transfer and shuffle our carry on + laptop bags to the big check in bags. This caused lot of delay on shuffling the bags and apparently the person who was helping us closed the counter saying that he will not print the boarding pass. He was trying to remove some personal grudge on us. I asked for the supervisor and he said there is no supervisor which was very odd. All this happened in Check in counter 8. We went to check in counter 7 and asked for the supervisor. It seems the supervisor was updated on counter 7 and he complained that because the shuffling took more time , he is not going to let us board the flight. He literally insulted us . We were willing to pay for the extract luggage , but still they treated us so badly. Finally after we did the shuffling and very late , they literally tortured us verbally and said that we caused delays , and made us beg to print the boarding pass. The boarding passes were then printed after lot of requests. They had asked us to keep our latptop bags inside the carry on luggage as well. We had lot of issues during security and it took a long time for all the procedures. We really had a very very bad experience from the whole staff.
I also saw that the people who put bags on the belt were taking bribes from passengers and trying to sneak in their overweight bags .
While we are trying to fight for corruption , these things really make look our country look bad.
