My parents too AI343 from Singapore to Mumbai on 16th Oct 2023. As both are above 70yrs old and have health issue like both have slip disc so we requested for wheel chair assistance as in Singapore as well mumbai airport at arrival. We got the fantastic assistance at Singapore Airport. The problem is we were not with our parents in Mumbai the wheelchair assistant came to take my parents but they both the staffs told my parents as its not mentioned in their tickets for wheelchair assistance so they cant actually do it and they will be get scolding from their manager for wheel chairing my parents so they just tear the portion of boarding pass and left them near the luggage belt. My mum requested them to help to carry the two check in bag which was total less than 25kg but they refused and asked them to get somebody else to help them and they left. I am just concern about few things: whether its mentioned in the ticket or not when its requested they should help.If they dont want to assist than why they took the part of boarding ticket ( I assume part of boarding pass they need to show to their managemnet to sho how many they wheeled). If they can just help them to carry the bag and either keep on their wheelchair as the bag was two shoulder bags and they didnt have any hand luggage or if they are not ready to wheeled them than atleast help them carry the bag from the belt and put on the trolley so atleast they can slowly push it out. If my parents slip disc trigger with this carrying who will be responsible.
