My mother flew to Mumbai from London on 21st Jan 2024. At the airport the check in desk said we can make the carry on luggage lighter as the checkin baggage was light. I took a bag which I thought was crisp out to put in the checkin bag. In this bag was a solar charger. THIS WAS AN ACCIDENT AND NOT INTENTIONAL. I had told the check in desk that there was a solar charger in the hand luggage previously.
At mumbai airport one of my mothers cases did not come out, we just assumed it was on another flight. A complaint was made at the time. The suitcase finally made it to Rajkot 22nd Jan and the case was collected 23 jan. The solar charger and a few bags of crisp and a bars of chocolate were missing. I am not bothered about the crisp and the chocolate but the solar charger was £52.99 which was a gift. That is what I am really upset was taken out. This was not an intentional error as that charger was in my hand luggage. Thw only reason the check in desk suggested making the hand luggage lighter was because my mother is disabled. I would like my back or to be compensated for £52.99.
