I had a flight on 12th October, 2022 from Mumbai to Jodhpur via Indigo. I got delayed because of the old driver driving too slowly and that too in Mumbai traffic. I reached airport exact 5 min.s before the Check-in counter was about to close. So, at the place of luggage drop, Indigo team suggested to not stand in long queue, instead directly go for Boarding with all the luggage and carry bags.
But when we reached for Security checking, the police/security team refused to pass the luggage and told only to check for handbags. On our request and situation of getting late, they agreed and scanned our luggage also.
But during checking, they didn’t allow our TWO Brand -new bodywash and shampoos along with a small scissor from our luggage trolleys.
Just make me understand how the hell would i harm someone from a small scissor in between of journey when the luggage itself is not with me. It’ll be taken in luggage room of plane.
And the security team didn’t take the OPENED bodywash out but the FULLY-SEALED bottles. How would that damage anything in plane? They could have taken out the opened one bodywash, but why the sealed ones??
Please guide me through this stupid rule of air transport.
And later when we reached at boarding gates, we got to know that flight itself is delayed by half an hr. If we could have got this message earlier, we would not need to get our luggage scanned/checked at Security check-in. Instead we would have been in queue and waited for our chance to submit our luggage as usual.
