Pursuant to the green signal by the Civil Aviation department to airlines to resume domestic air activities from May 25, all airlines, including Air India, started ticket booking for May 25 and onwards.
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has approved the schedule of the airlines.
According to the approved schedule, these are the cities to which passengers are permitted to fly.

However, the Tamil Nadu government has expressed reservations regarding the decision and is reluctant to allow domestic traffic inside the State. It has urged the Centre to not resume operations to the state until May 31 — the official date when lockdown 4.0 is scheduled to end.
However, as per the present schedule approved by the DGCA, Chennai is one of the destinations. Chennai may later be taken off the list, in deference to the stand of the local Government.
As already reported, the civil aviation ministry had announced that domestic flight operations would begin from May 25. Thereafter, the Airport Authorities of India issued a Standard Operational Protocol (SOP) for the airports across the country to ensure social distancing and contactless screening. The Aviation Ministry ha also released guidelines for airlines and passengers to be adhered to for the upcoming flights.
