- Text of Complaint by RASOOL BIBI LAKHANI
My mother travelled on a British airways flight to Mumbai from London Heathrow, on arrival at Mumbai, collected luggage and found that her suitcases had been forced open, locks broken, and belt ripped off, all her clothing had gone missing, but her underwear remained. When she tried to make a complaint at the airport, this was brushed aside and not taken seriously, this is not the first time this has happened, this is an ongoing issue with airport staff at mumbai. She travelled to india to see family, unfortunately now has to purchase clothing to wear whilst visiting. This is unbelievable that your ground handling staff deems appropriate to do, I will be posting this on social media to inform everyone what happens when arriving at Mumbai Airport. Measures need to be put in place to prevent this from happening. Why remove personal items? We would understand if it was dangerous goods, but clothes??? I would very much appreciate your input in this matter and we will also take this further with British airways.
